Liliana and Helio were both absolute pleasures to work with. She was always quick to respond, thorough in her explanations and we believe, truly had our best interests at heart. She made the entire process seamless and stress-free – well, as stress free as a real estate transaction can be in Mexico! There were no games and everything was done in a very transparent way. Liliana guided us through each step, making sure we understood everything. Our Spanish is good enough but there was no need for concern about that because Liliana and Helio both have an excellent command of English. (I believe Liliana is licensed as an official interpreter in the State of Michoacan as well as a licensed real estate broker AND a licensed attorney – whew!).
On a Monday we signed the contract with Mexatua to sell our house. The listing went up on the following Monday and our house was sold to the first person who came to see it on Wednesday! I don’t know if the moon and stars were all lined up right but apparently the listing was well done and the pricing was right!
Mexatua made sure that we had NOTHING to stress about during the sale process. If there was ANYTHING that was causing concern, Liliana and Helio were there to fix the problem or explain the issue. At one point, we lost internet during one of the electrical storms and couldn’t get Infinitum to come for DAYS. Helio came and figured it out and had us up and running in a few minutes! As if that had anything to do with the sale of the property. Talk about full service!
Before moving, we, of course, had to pay severance pay to our staff. Because they had worked with us for many years, the amount they would walk away with was considerable. We wanted to be sure that the money was safe but also didn’t want to appear to be patronizing to the staff. Liliana and Helio took the time to discuss options with the staff and explain the pros and cons of various options. It was a huge relief and one less thing for us to worry about.
If we were to purchase a place in Michoacan again, we would not hesitate to work with Mexatua. Liliana and Helio are a great team and we highly recommend them. Thank you Liliana and Helio!
