Huge Nativity Scene at Plaza de Armas in Morelia (video)
Morelia City Council through the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, created this unique Nativity Scene. For the third consecutive year, Baltazar Lopez Samano was in charge to set the figures representing the Holy Family: Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Three kings with the horse, the elephant and the camel, shepherds, and even devils.
There are 22 figures placed on the gardens of the Plaza de Armas (main square) in Morelia. Nine people worked on them (it took eight days of work each). They used materials like corn husks, hay, coconuts, branches, among others.
