Concert at Casa Hogar El Buen Pastor in Morelia
The CASA HOGAR was founded in the 1920’s by A. B. DeRoose, an American of Irish extraction, as an evangelistic effort. The orphanage was originally located in Patzcuaro, Michoacan, Mexico, a town about 30 miles from the capital city of Morelia in the state of Michoacán, a region in central Mexico in the Sierra Madre Mountains. It was relocated to Morelia in 1962, where it remains today.
There will be two children’s choirs, one the Niños Cantores de Morelia, and the other is the choir of the orphanage children, who have performed both in Morelia and other towns.
Also, some fine professional musicians, as well as Ad Libtum Cuarteto and Edgar Villalba Tenor.
The reception starts at 6:30 pm and the concert is scheduled to start at 7 pm. You can buy tickets at the door. The donation is 50 pesos, which includes snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.
There is plenty of parking on the streets around the orphanage.
