By Liliana Elena Gonzalez @mexatua This year festival will take place next weekend, starting Friday July 23rd, Saturday and Sunday 26th, 2010 in the Casa de la Cultura Uantaperakua located in the main plaza. As every year, there will be a contest with participants from several states within Mexico and Spain as the special International participant invited. Don Paracho de Verduzco in Michoacan, is the Guitar Capital of Mexico. The small town located about half an hour north of Uruapan on Highway 37, has a population of about 16,500. The whole town is involved in the guitar industry, there are small factories and storefronts dedicated to the production of guitars and or guitar parts By Liliana Elena Gonzalez @mexatua Globo de Cantoya is a big balloon made out of thousands of china paper sheets (from 4 to 2000+) impelled to the sky by a hot device.
