The 25th edition of the Festival de Música de Morelia Miguel Bernal Jimenez will take place in the colonial city of Morelia, November 14th through 24th, 2013. The Festival´s performances will be held at Morelos Teather, the Cathedral and other churches, the Government´s Palace, Las Rosas Conservatory, Palacio Clavijero, Ocampo Teather and other buildings and squares in downtown Morelia.

The opening concert will be held in the Morelos Theatre on Thursday November 14th at 8:30 pm, performed by the Johann Strauss Orchestra from Vienna. The closing concert will be performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City on Saturday 23rd at 8 pm at the same venue.

On Friday November 15th there will be an homage to Glenn Gould in 3 different presentations at José Rubén Romero Teather with accordionist Teodoro Anzellotti from Italy; the Garnati Ensamble from Spain and Raúl Moncada from México. At the end of those concerts (around 10 pm) it will be a Bells´concert by Llorenç Barber. He will use bells from several of the downtown churches in Morelia.

A concert of traditional and contemporary Armenian music on Saturday November 16th at 1 pm at Palacio Municipal building, performed by the violist Kim Kashkashian, percussionist Robyn Schulkowsky and the pianist Tigran Mansurian. At 6 pm a parade to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Festival at Madero avenue from Tarascas fountain to the Cathedral. At 7 pm at Plaza Valladolid a popular show and concert with Armando Manzanero and Francisco Céspedes.

Free events at  Calzada Fray Antonio de San Miguel (November 16th) the Patamban Floral Rugs Exhibition, Scottish bagpipes and trova music by Na’iki, Antonio Rodríguez & Iván Cortés.

There will be a series of master classes, courses, expos & exhibitions, children´s concert and international gastronomic exhibition.
